YMC (You Must Create) was founded in 1995 by Jimmy Collins and Fraser Moss, taking its name from designer Raymond Loewy’s quote: “You must create your own design style.” Rooted in workwear and military influences, the brand built its identity on understated, functional clothing with lasting appeal.
Over 25 years later, YMC remains shaped by subcultures, music, and the arts, producing timeless yet progressive menswear, womenswear, and unisex pieces. Following Fraser Moss’s passing, Sage Toda-Nation became creative director in 2024, drawing from YMC’s early archives to reinterpret its original spirit for the future.
