Forever 21, founded in 1984 in Los Angeles, grew from a small boutique into a global fast-fashion giant known for trendy, affordable styles. At its peak, it operated hundreds of massive mall stores worldwide, but overexpansion and rising online competition led to two bankruptcies and the closure of all U.S. locations in 2025. The brand now continues internationally under new ownership with a renewed focus on e-commerce and lifestyle branding.
